Cinema Development & Film Programming

I currently work as a Creative Producer in theatre, however, for many years I worked in cinemas and film exhibition. I'm an experienced Cinema Development Advisor and have written business plans for a number of independent cinemas with the aim of making them more profitable and culturally viable.

I've worked as an Audience Development Manager for Northern Film & Media and have a raft of training from the Independent Cinema Office under my belt. I've undertaken the Arts Council’s Ambition programme across three regions and attended numerous conferences on the brave new digital world across sectors and industries.  I'm also an external assessor of funding applications for Regional Screen Agencies and AmbITion Scotland. 

While Film Programme Manager for the Dukes' cinema in Lancaster, I was responsible for the organisation's monthly film programme. I developed a series of annual seasons and one off events around a core programme of specialised film. I also fundraised, developed a film education programme, created one off community projects and over saw the cinema's inclusion into the UK Film Council's Digital Screen Network.
